By installing ConsentKit on your Shopify store, you agree to these terms. If your legal team wants a formal DPA, email us.

1. What ConsentKit does

We provide a cookie consent banner and audit log for Shopify stores. The banner drives Shopify's native Customer Privacy API. The audit log records consent events so you can demonstrate compliance.

2. Plans

Free: full consent banner, unlimited page views, styling via the theme editor, up to 500 consent events per calendar month. Above 500, the banner keeps working but new events aren't logged.

Pro ($9/month, 7-day free trial): everything in Free plus unlimited event logging. Billing runs through Shopify's App Charges — you'll see it on your Shopify invoice, and you can cancel any time from Settings → Apps in your Shopify admin.

3. Your responsibilities

• ConsentKit is a tool. You are responsible for whether your overall practices comply with GDPR, ePrivacy, CCPA/CPRA, or any other law that applies to your business.
• Have counsel review your cookie policy and privacy notice.
• Do not use ConsentKit to mislead visitors about tracking.

4. Data

See our Privacy Policy for what we collect and how long we keep it. Uninstalling triggers deletion via Shopify's shop/redact webhook (within 48 hours).

5. Availability

ConsentKit runs on Cloudflare Workers. We aim for high availability but offer no SLA on the free plan. Consent events that fail to record due to downtime are not automatically retried.

6. Termination

You can uninstall at any time from your Shopify admin. We may terminate or suspend the service, with reasonable notice, for abuse (spam, fraud, attempts to circumvent the free-plan limits) or if we discontinue the product.

7. Warranty and liability

The service is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and limit total liability to fees paid in the 12 months prior to the claim (zero, on the free plan).

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app admin. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
